All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2019 held at DHACSS College for Women

All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2019 was held at DHACSS College for Women in which 17 teams from reputed colleges/universities from all across the country participated. Prof Inam Ahmed, Chairman Board of Secondary Education Karachi was the chief guest of the event.

The young speakers eloquently spoke on various serious cum humorous topics displaying their brilliance, oratory skills and sense of humour. They delivered speeches in English and Urdu in a spectacular manner.

Prof Inam Ahmed appreciated the zeal, enthusiasm and spirited approach of the speakers and stressed the need for research work and through preparation to excel in the art of declamation. He said that public speaking is an art of putting one’s point of view logically and convincingly with persuasion. He added that mastery in the art of speaking helps in developing a confident, dynamic and versatile personality which is the key to success in life.

Dr Farhat Agha, the Principal said that the college provided stimulating and dynamic learning environment to prepare the students to become dynamic, enlightening and forward looking individuals who could excel in life.

In English Declamation, Ms Hafsa Tahir of Karachi University bagged 1st position, Ms Kinza Imran of Bahria College Karsaz secured second position and third position was clinched by Mr Amjad Ali of Islamia College Quetta.

In Urdu Declamation, Sub Lt Muhammad Ahsan of NUST PNEC secured 1st position, 2nd position was won by Mr Saad Ghaffar from University of Sind Jamshoro and 3rd position went to Mr Junaid Mumtaz of University of Karachi. The coveted trophy of the declamation was won by Karachi University team.

In the end the chief guest distributed certificates and shields among the participants of the declamation contest. Principal DHACSS College for Women presented a memorable shield to the chief guest.
