All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2020 held at DHACSS College for Women

All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2020 was held at DHACSS College for Women Auditorium in which 11 teams from elite colleges/universities from all over the country participated. Prof Dr Mehmood Ghaznavi, Chairman Mass Communication Department, University of Karachi was the chief guest of the contest.

The young speakers eloquently spoke on various serious cum humorous topics displaying their brilliance, oratory skills and sense of humour.

Prof Dr Mehmood Ghaznavi appreciated the zeal, enthusiasm and spirited approach of the speakers and stressed the need for research work and through preparation to excel in the art of declamation. He said that public speaking is an art of putting one’s point of view logically and convincingly with persuasion. He stressed on the need of “eye contact” for a public speaker with the audience to communicate ideas.

In English Declamation, Ms Khadija Jameel of Bahria College NORE-I bagged 1st position, Ms Jaya Jeet of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology 2nd position and 3rd position was clinched by Mr Hammad Ahmed of DHACSS SKBZ Campus.

In Urdu Declamation, Hasan Mirza of Karachi University secured 1st position, 2nd position was won by Ms Eisha Akram from Bahria College NORE-I and 3rd position went to Mr Ikram of Jamshoro University. The coveted trophy of the declamation was won by Bahria College NORE-I.

In the end the chief guest distributed certificates and shields among the participants of the declamation contest.
