The annual prize distribution ceremony of Defence Authority Iqra Model High School was held in the Auditorium of DHA Degree College for Women Phase-VIII. Mr Shujauddin Sheikh, Director Academics, Quran Academy DHA Karachi was the chief guest of the function.
The chief guest emphasized the significance of learning and understanding Holy Quran for success in life and for life hereafter. He said that the spirit of Islam envisaged striving constantly for seeking knowledge and advancement in life. He stated that the best way to follow the Holy Quran was to practice its teachings in one’s daily life. He appreciated the efforts of DHA Iqra Model School for pragmatically spreading the Islamic values and the message of the Holy Book in the society.
Mr Shujauddin said that DHA Iqra School was a new generation school which offers a unique blend of Hifz-e-Quran and modern scientific education to the students. He said that the newly devised education system was unique in the sense that it equipped the students with the knowledge of contemporary modern sciences and arts as well as imbibed in them the true Islamic, moral and cultural values to make the students dynamic and forward looking citizens.
Earlier the Principal, Tahir Abdullah Siddiqui presented the annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school. He said that all out efforts were being made at the school to develop optimum potential and talent of the students.
The students later presented a very interesting and colourful variety programme comprising of tableaus, speeches and short plays which was much appreciated by the audience.
At the end the chief guest distributed prize among the students who excelled in various activities and also awarded certificates of merits to the teachers.
