The Annual Sports Day of Pre-School of Defence Authority Public School (O&A Levels) Seaview was held on Friday, 15th March 2013. The former Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Moin Khan was the chief guest of the function.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that sports demonstrate the power of human will to compete and thrive to excel beyond the body’s normal capabilities. He said that sports events should be held regularly as the spirit of sports provide the opportunities to be creative and to be mentally, physically and emotionally robust in life.
The chief guest lit the torch and declared the sports event open. This was followed by oath ceremony, walk past and enthralling PT display by the young students.
A renowned singer Aamir Saleem presented beautiful songs which made the show enthralling. The races included flag race, balloon race, flower race, banana race, lemon and spoon race, frog race and bunties race.
Earlier the Principal, Mrs. Rukhshanda Jabeen, in her annual report highlighted the importance of sports and extracurricular activities. She said that no education was complete unless and until it was combined with co-curricular and sports activities. She emphasized that sports and physical activities were no lesser than any other learning for development of students’ confidence and extrovert personality.
At the end the chief guest distributed prizes among the students and teachers who excelled in various fields of activities.
