A representative delegation of Association of Defence Residents (ADR) led by its President Mr. Attique-ur-Rehman visited DHA’s Main Office and held a meeting with Administrator DHA Brig Muhammad Abdullah to discuss various issues of residents’ interest.
Brig Abdullah underlined the need for enhanced interactions between DHA and residents’ associations for prompt resolution of their problems. He said that DHA attached great importance to the feedback of residents which helped the Housing Authority in formulating realistic and residents-friendly policies.
The Administrator reiterated that DHA accorded highest priority to provision of secure and safe living environment to residents. He said that DHA has formulated a reinvigorated security plan to improve the overall security situation in the Housing Authority.
The main features of the plan include increased mobile patrolling in the area, effective CCTV coverage, establishment of more security check posts in DHA for effective monitoring and pre-emptive actions.
The delegation was informed that work on development of site for new graveyard in DHA Ph-VIII was going on speedily which would be completed by 31 Dec, 2013.
On a query of ADR Delegation, Dir Horticulture stated that DHA has recently undertaken renovation and uplift work of Capt Farhan Shaheed Park on Seaview and accordingly carried out new plantation, improvement of walking tracks and fixing of additional lights etc to provide good recreational facilities to a large number of people frequenting the beach.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with both residents and DHA officials expressing their resolve to continue meaningful co-operation in future.
