Australian Federal Police Officials Played a Charity Cricket Match at DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy)

DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) is a vibrant sporting avenue which perpetually holds various exciting and interesting sporting events and cricket matches at its venue. The Club has assumed the significance of a landmark institution for promotion of cricket in the country.

The visiting Australian Federal Police Officials to Pakistan in connection with raising funds for the families of Police Officers who laid their lives for the country played a cricket match at Moin Khan Academy with Pakistan’s Showbiz cricket team. It was an exciting and lively event full of fun, joy and excitement. DHA provided the venue for the occasion on complimentary basis for promotion of the noble cause for which the match was held.

The Australian Federal Police, in conjunction with the Gymkhana Cricket Club and Baluchistan Police commissioned the Fayyaz Sumbal Cup in honour of Mr Fayyaz Sumbal, the martyred PSP Baluchistan Police Officer. The match was played to honour all police officers and jawans in Pakistan martyred in line of the duty.

The Australian Federal Police team Captain Daniel Caruana thanked DHA for facilitating them in organizing the event for a noble cause. He also appreciated the efforts of Moin Khan, ex cricket captain and great Pakistani cricketer in promoting cricket at grass root levels.

Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali said that DHA is a progressive and dynamic institution committed to promotion of sports in the country. He said that DHA supports all community oriented healthy activities for the welfare and wellbeing of society.
