“Blood and Money” Group Exhibition at IVS Gallery

Blood and Money Group Exhibition at IVS Gallery

Blood and Money both have political & cultural significance in our society. In fact it is relevant to all human societies that ever existed throughout the history of civilization.

The whole idea of blood is connected with violence or injury or making someone bleed through the act of violence. The whole idea of money is related to power and consumption. The more you consume the more powerful you get.

These are separate notions of Blood and Money. However there is also such a term as Blood money which connects both violence and economic power in the context of crime and punishment. Blood money is actually an amount of money paid to a victim or a victim’s family to compensate for the crime committed against the individual.
