Danish Ambassador visited DHA City Karachi (DCK) Site on 18 February 2014. Project Director DHA City received the Danish Ambassador at DCK Site. Besides Project Director, a significant number of DHA officers, engineers and consultants were present on the occasion.
Project Director DCK Brig (R) Muhammad Rafique and the consultant DCK Engineer Arif Osmani briefed the Ambassador in detail about the ongoing development works at DCK Site. They threw light upon the significant milestones DCK had achieved within the preset timelines and told the ambassador that every effort was being made to make DCK a liveable entity by 2015-16.
Briefing the Danish Ambassador, Project Director DCK Brig (R) Muhammad Rafique said that buildings, roads and infrastructure works under short term development plan were almost complete and the sector development work was in full swing. Project Director further said that DCK was being developed in accordance with a versatile development strategy and was going to be Pakistan’s first Sustainable and Smart City.
The Danish Ambassador showed great interest in the on-site development activities and appreciated the DHA City Management for launching the state-of -the art city in Pakistan. Expressing his views, the Danish Ambassador said that DHA City Karachi has all the potential to attract international investors.
