Defence Authority Degree College for Women Clinches Top Positions in Board Exams

Defence Authority Degree College for Women Phase-VIII is a renowned educational institution of the metropolis which is distinguished for providing high quality higher education to girls and in maintaining rich academic traditions. The college invariably gets top positions every year in Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) and Karachi University Examinations. This year the college again got the distinction of getting top most positions in the BIEK Intermediate Examination 2018 of Faculty of Arts (FA).

DA College for Women (DCW) got five top positions in BIEK Exams; out of 13 A-Is given to students of all the colleges of Karachi DCW clinched 6 A-Is and stood first among all the colleges of the metropolis with an impressive pass result of 92%. This is a unique distinction and an exclusive performance of the college.

Kinza Aijaz of DCW got third position in the Board with 80.73% marks while Kulsoom Khatoon Shah got fourth position with 80.64% marks. Two students of the college namely Javeria Babar Dar (80.55%) and Sundas Mateen (80.27%) got fifth position while Sundas Mateen (80.27%) of DCW got sixth position in BIEK exam.

Administrator DHA Brig Ibrar Hussain Bhatti congratulated the Principal DCW, Dr Farhat Agha and commended position holder students for their outstanding academic performance in the Board Examinations. He said that academic and educational achievements of DA Degree College for Women were spectacular and a source of inspiration for all Defence Authority Educational Institutions (DAEIs). Administrator reiterated that he expected all DAEIs to maintain highest educational standards in all fields to earn a trademark name and an exclusive reputation of excellence among all educational institutions of the metropolis.
