Defence Authority SKBZ College Organized All Karachi Bilingual Declamation Contest

Defence Authority SKBZ College organized All Karachi Bilingual Declamation Contest at the college auditorium. Mr Aneeq Ahmed, renowned TV anchor and intellectual was the chief guest of the function.

21 elite schools of Karachi participated in the competition. 36 students participating in the contest made fierce efforts to outshine one another through their intellectually stimulating and thought provoking speeches. They spoke on various serious and humorous topics in English and Urdu demonstrating their oratory skills, talent and wit. It was an intellectual treat to listen to the brilliant speakers.

Mr Aneeq Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the speakers in putting up their arguments confidently and forcefully. He commended the standard of declamation specially the preparation and enthusiasm of speakers. He advised the students to prepare the contents of their speeches intricately, ensure correct pronounciation and present their ideas innovatively in a convincing manner.

Earlier Brig Mirza Khawar Baig (Retd) Principal of DA SKBZ College in his welcome address said that the college provides intellectually vibrant and academically sound environment to develop all round confident personalities of young people, so that they can face the challenges of future life successfully.

In the English Declamation Contest, Wasi Mohsin of BVS Parsi School clinched the 1st position, Imran Jawed of Army Public School Saddar was declared 2nd while Miss Sakina of Bahria College NORE-I won the 3rd position.

In the Urdu Declamation Contest 1st was won by Azan Khan of Army Public School Saddar, Mahnoor of Defence Authority Model High School Phase-IV got the 2nd position while Rayyan of SKBZ College (O Levels) was declared 3rd.

The winning trophy of Declamation Contest was awarded to Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School as the highest scorer Army Public School Saddar got the trophy last year.

In the end the chief guest distributed certificates and shields among the participants of the declamation contest. The Principal of the College presented a memorable shield to the chief guest.
