Defence Day of Pakistan was Celebrated at Defence Authority Club, Karachi

Defence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great zeal and fervor at Defence Authority Club. The club venue was prepared innovatively with an aesthetic approach by displaying photographs of martyrs of Sept’ 1965 and 1971 war who laid down their lives to safeguard the territorial integrity and safety of the country. The imaginatively created lighting arrangements at the venue glorified the significance and solemnity of the occasion. It was a befitting tribute to the supreme sacrifices rendered by the Shuddas and the magnificent resolve depicted by the nation who stood behind the gallant armed forces during the defining moments in Sept’ 1965.

The club members participated in the event overwhelmingly with great enthusiasm and commitment. They lit candle lights (candle light vigil) to pay their fervent tributes and homage to the courageous armed forces who rendered great sacrifices for the nation.

The club members sang national songs which were reminiscent of September 1965 war depicting their heart and devotion for the country. The songs of yester years inspired and motivated the crowd inculcating a sense of patriotism and loyalty in them for Pakistan. The entire club reverberated with the emotional outburst of national songs. It added to the glory and grandeur of the function.

Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in a message paid great tributes to the shuddas and resolute will of the nation in 1965. He asked the members to get true inspiration from the grand sacrifices and great feats of valour rendered by the brave armed forces in times of national emergency. He urged them to make a reinvigorated resolve to devote all their energies and efforts for the welfare and progress of the country.
