A delegation of the AIMST University, Malaysia led by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Premkumar Rajagopal visited the DHA Suffa University recently.
The delegation reciprocated the AIMST University visit in May last year by a DSU delegation that included its Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Hussain, TI(M), SI(M) and the Dean, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, TI.
The two universities have since then established a very vibrant collaboration program in light of the MOU signed on 27 May 2013. Under the vision provided by the MOU several collaborative activities have already taken place. These include the summer internships of DSU students at AIMST University in 2013, attendance of faculty development workshops by DSU faculty members at AIMST University and one-year post-doctoral research at AIMST University by a DSU faculty member.
Based on their visit of DSU and interaction with the faculty members and staff, the Vice Chancellor, AIMST University expressed great satisfaction and appreciation of the progress made at DSU within the last two years. During the meetings, programs for further collaboration came under discussion including launching of joint and split degree programs, exchange of information technology expertise and a bigger summer internship program for DSU students at AIMST University during Summer of 2014.
