Delegation of Defence Residents Society (DRS) visited DHA Head Office

A representative delegation of Defence Residents Society (DRS) visited DHA Head Office and held a meeting chaired by Brig Ibrar Hussain Bhatti, Administrator DHA with Housing Authority’s officials in which residents’ problems were discussed and appropriate decisions taken. Administrator in his opening remarks said that interaction with residents’ reps provided an opportunity to get their invaluable feedback on different civic and social issues for their early resolution.

Administrator informed the meeting that physical development work of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and DCK Flyover on M-9 in DCK has commenced. He also said that Sector-‘C’ and Sector ‘E-8’ in DHA Phase-VIII have already been opened for construction while efforts are in hand to open other sectors as well.

DRS Delegation highlighted the problem of acute shortage of water faced by residents in DHA. Administrator said that DHA was working in tandem and unison with CBC for early resolution of the problem.

Administrator said that DHA would take favourable action on all doable and pragmatic suggestions of residents which will be a stepping stone in resolution of bigger policy issues as well. He also said that new graveyard in DHA Phase-VIII has been handed over by DHA to CBC which is likely to become functional by mid of March. It was decided that interaction with the residents’ rep of DRS will be a regular feature.
