Alongside this, a street-car transportation system is seen as an integral part of the development and road networks have been planned in a way that allows for cul de sacs within the residential sectors thus keeping non specific traffic out, and a car free central spine has been maintained throughout the Downtown District.

    Can you please give a bit of advice on DHA City. My understanding is that a 200 Sq. yard plot will today cost about 240k + ON money of 500k and monthly installments are 10,000 Rupees. When are these plots going to be ballotted and what do you think are the appreciation prospects? I am visiting Karachi in December and hence, am interested in considering it.

    Yes you are right, till today 240K has been paid to DHA plus On money, now it is around 600K, Installment is 20K for three months. Once balloted and your file got the number On money prices will be doubled.
    it is highly recommendable for investment these days.

      Mr.Jakvani is 200 % right. Prices get doubled, once the ballot getd done and you got the plot number.
      As per my information, Pakistan Army’s directorat of housing has purchase a big peace of land within the teretorry of DHA city for onward allotment to pak army officers from 2016, therefore once the army personal started living in this project, prices will automatically shoot up to sky as there will be world class sucurity and living facillaties in placed to provide luxirieous living to our army officers and same will be available to general public lliving in that vacinity.

    One more honest advise to all DHA city plot owners.

    Please don’t sell your plots against 400k to 600k own money offers. Prices get doubled once your plot get the number after balloting and that might be a 2 side corner plot or 200/300 feet road facing plot and then the man who had bought the plot from you will get the benefit of this thing… hold your plots atleast till the ballot time.

    Thanks Nizami sb and Jakvani sb for the honest advice. I am a 500 sq yards alottee. I ve paid only three instalments and have defaulted. Will my plot cancelled? Will OWN money increase immediately after allotment of plot numbers and then nosedive thereafter? I need honest advice from both of you (and others) as I am a salaried lady and will be able to pay instalments with great difficulty.

    Nuzhat; As per published policy, DHA has reserved the right to cancell any plot after Non-payment of 8 consecetive installments, however for the you have to contact DHA and there might be some consideration for your case based upon your financial conditions.

    We’ll see a bit downward move in own money offers right after balloting and this trend may continue few month, more.But this is for sure that this hipe will remain continue and fast development work will increase it’s value.

    These investors are very smart and know that buying DHA city plots against 5 lacs to 6 lacs own is not a bad deal and after a few years they can get 15 to 20 lacs own offer.

    Hence, Think as investor thinks…. keep your plot don’t sell it.

    Also, DHA is going to offer arround 10000 news plots to public by 2016 or 2017 in DHA City, as DHA bought some addtional land from sindh govt and prices would be much higher than prices we are paying for our plots and that would be the right time when old allotees can easily get atleast 300% own offers of their invested amount (e.g paid 10 lacs and expected own offer would be 30 lacs)

    So hold it.. this will be beneficial for you not for myself.

    My wife has been alloted a 1000 sq yards residential plot 2010 . We have have paid all installments. I read one of the comments that DHA is about to allot the plots to the plot owners. Whe is this going to take place. How do we know when plot will be allocated and where is the location. We are overseas at a moment but visiting Karachi in December 2012.

    Any word of advise will be appreciated.
