DHA Grand Book Fair held at Defence Central Library (DCL)

DHA Grand Book Fair opened at Defence Central Library (DCL) located at Sunset Boulevard, DHA Phase-II. VC DHA Suffa University Rear Admiral (R) Prof Dr Sarfraz Hussain inaugurated the Book Fair by cutting a ribbon in a colourful ceremony held at DCL’s Lawns amid much fanfare.

The two days Books Exhibition is being held at DCL from 7th to 8th December 2018 and is open for general public daily from 9 AM to 10 PM. 20 leading publishers/book sellers of the metropolis have set up their stalls at the Book Fair where variety of quality books on different subjects including literature, fiction, science, current events, children literature, philosophy, religion, medical, engineering, IT and periodicals etc have been displayed and are available on discounted price.

Administrator Brig Ibrar Hussain Bhatti highlighted that Book Fairs help in promoting literary and reading culture in society. He added that reading of books enriches human experience, develops’ one’s vision and brings a lively change in life. Administrator commended DCL for organizing the Book Fair in a befitting manner and hoped that it will go a long way in developing positive and constructive trends in society.

Some of the renowned publishers/books sellers who have set up their stalls include Oxford, Liberty, Paramount, Progressive, Royal and Capital Books etc. Secretary DCL, Ms Aisha Choudhary expressed the hope that people of Karachi will demonstrate their literary and creative passion by overwhelmingly participating in the event.

Prominent literary and social personalities, celebrities, Principals of DHA Educational Institutions and DHA Officers attended the ceremony.
