DHA Officials Visit Dar-ul-Sakun


Dar-ul-Sukun is a home to physically and mentally challenged children and adults. The institution is a ray of hope for the destitute and helpless people and is serving the humanity as a shining example of commitment and dedication. A team of DHA Officers and 30 students of DHA Suffa University visited Dar-ul-Sukun as a good will gesture and spent some quality time with the inhabitants of the setup. The handicapped and physically disabled children greeted the DHA team with joy and delight. DHA team mixed with the special children, interacted and chatted frankly with them giving them renewed hope, confidence and courage to face the adversities and challenges of life boldly.

Sister Ruth Lewis, the head of Dar-ul-Sukun informed the DHA team about the activities and programs of the setup designed for the mentally challenged individuals. The DHA team visited the dormitories and rooms of the setup and commended the philanthropic role and missionary zeal of the management with which they were serving the noble cause of helping the humanity in distress. Later they had Iftaar cum Dinner with the special children and management of Dar-ul-Sukun.

Acting Director Administration DHA, Col Syed Zafar Ali Shah (Retd) said that DHA accords utmost priority to the service of humanity and was committed to serve the needy and helpless people in pain and distress. On behalf of Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali he presented a cheque of Rs 0.5 Million to Dar-ul-Sukun management for the welfare and well being of the mentally challenged children and adults of the setup.
