DHA Residents Complain of Non-Utilization Fee (NUF)

A representative delegation of Defence Society Residents’ Association (DSRA), led by its president Justice (retd) Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui, visited DHA’s main office and held a meeting with its administrator Brig Muhammad Abdullah.

The delegation was of the view that Non-Utilization Fee (NUF) imposed by DHA on vacant plots was high and should be minimized. The administration pointed out that the charges are levied for security of the plots. The practice also encourages people to build their houses and not leave the plots vacant for a long time.

DSRA should try to get the NUF reduced. This is high amount. Are property owners being punished ? DHA should consider the requests and DSRA should run an online campaign for this. Thanks.

Masood: I agree with you. It is not possible for everyone to start construction on his / her plot immediately after buying it. The NUF should be reduced.
