Dr. Muhammad Kashif Khan, has joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at DHA Suffa University (DSU) as Assistant Professor. He was awarded a PhD scholarship from UK in 2006 on a project funded by Airbus, Germany. The project was a joint consortium of Airbus, The Open University UK and Cranfield University UK.
He is the winner of the “Young International Scientist Award 2011” amounting to 200,000 Chinese Yuan (33,000 USD approx.) for post doctoral study in Sichuan University, China from National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The funding was used in investigation of “Very high cycle fatigue behaviour of high strength metallic materials”. He has collaborated with numerous Chinese and Korean Universities, and holds a 200,000 Chinese Yuan grant for investigation of surface treatment effects on the fatigue life of materials.
