Hero Worship: An Exhibition of Paintings by Shanzay Subzwari

Join The Second Floor (T2F) at Faraar for a vibrant exhibition of paintings celebrating the Pakistani hero worship of cricketing stars.

Shanzay Subzwari paints the heroes we worship. Her new body of work created specifically for this show, ranges from portraiture to imaginative composition, using methods of photo-realism, miniature and pop-art.

About the Artist

Shanzay Subzwari is a young Pakistani painter, who despite her age and current status as a student, has exhibited her work locally and internationally. Shanzay has been part of the Faraar Gallery artist pool since 2011 and has contributed fresh and vibrant, pop-art inspired paintings to the Jumma Hafta Art Bazaar, a significant production of the PeaceNiche Public Art Project.

Shanzay brings to the canvas her youthful perspective on the past; her work often addresses cultural icons and faces of the yesteryears. Her painterly skill coupled with her use of brave colours and compositions, results in eye-catching, soulful art.
