ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour at DHA Moin Khan Academy

ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour, embarked on its most extensive journey, travelling across five continents, 22 countries and over 60 cities around the globe. The “most connected Trophy Tour ever” will allow fans around the world to get close to the cherished prize that will be lifted at Lords Cricket Ground in London on 14 July 2019. The coveted trophy reached Pakistan and made a stopover at DHA Sports Club, Moin Khan Academy (MKA) among exciting cheers of MKA young cricketers. A ceremony was held on the occasion in a befitting manner in which Pakistan’s ex star cricketer cum skipper Mr Moin Khan was the chief guest.

It was a unique privilege for Moin Khan Academy for being selected as a venue for the historic event. The young talented boys learning the techniques and skills of cricket at MKA were literally excited, inspired and motivated to see the prized trophy. They expressed their resolve and determination to bring the trophy back to Pakistan soon.

Mr Moin Khan thanked ICC for bestowing the grand honour on Moin Khan Academy which will go a long way in promoting cricket in the country. He told the young cricketers to work hard and to play cricket with cohesive, aggressive and fighting spirit to excel in the game. ICC and PCB officials were also present on the occasion.

Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali congratulated Mr Moin Khan on the well deserved honour. He also wished Pakistan Cricket Team all the best in the Cricket World Cup next year in London and Wales. Administrator said that DHA Moin Khan Academy as a feeder nursery has all the potential to produce world class cricket players to bring pride and distinction for the country.
