Independence Day Open Swimming Championship at Defence Authority Creek Club

The Independence Day Open Swimming Championship staged in Defence Authority Creek Club was specially planned to celebrate “70th Independence Day of Pakistan”. It was a joint venture between Defence Authority Creek Club and Pakistan Marine Academy which was conducted and organized exceptionally. Swimmers from 14 institutes participated in an open swimming championship where we had witnessed tremendous individual efforts a couple of rare pairings of medal winning performances from outstanding young talents.

Secretary Defence Authority Creek Club Brig Sajid Iqbal Jadoon (R), SI(M) and Commodore Akbar Naqi SI(M) Commandant Pakistan Marine Academy along with the Minister Sports Sindh Mr. Sardar Muhammad Baksh Khan Maher who graced the occasion as a Chief Guest took part in the Medal Ceremonies.

Overall, the Independence Day Open Swimming Championships was seen as a success. Defence Authority Creek Club was appreciated by the Commandant and the Minister Sports Sindh to be the ideal host again in upcoming sports event which will be announced soon.

In the conclusion, cake cutting ceremony was held which was followed by a Flag retrieving ceremony which was conducted by DACC with complete fervor and enthusiasm.
