Inter Schools Spelling Bee Competition 2013 was held at Defence Authority SKBZ College. Brig (R) Muhammad Ali Jawaid, ex principal of the college was the chief guest of the function.

A large number of students from 12 Defence Authority educational institutions participated enthusiastically in the competition. Spelling Bee is an academically vibrant competition where contestants are asked to spell English words. The contest is a challenging preposition for the students which help them to improve their vocabulary and correct usage of the language.

The chief guest said that proficiency in English language gives confidence to students and helps them to progress in their career.

He commended the college for holding healthy academic events so essential for personality development of students. He also appreciated the students for their intricate preparation, interest and quality performance shown during the competition.

In the age group 9-11 the shield was won by students of Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV, in age group 12-14 students of Defence Authority Neelum High School won the competition while in age group 15-17 students of Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV got the top position.

The overall winner trophy was clinched by Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV. In the end the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners and gave away the winner’s trophy.
