Level 3 : Starting a Regular Mindfulness Practice by Noorulain


How do you get your mind to stop shuttling between the past and future?

How do you get it to sit still, to be in the moment? How can you relish life as it is, not how it should be? 

Having a mindfulness meditation practice helps. In Level 1 of “Starting a Regular Mindfulness Practice by Noorulain Masood”, they explored how it gives you a safe space to begin observing your thoughts from a place of no judgment. 

Level 3 take you deeper, helping you learn how to become more present day to day, moment to moment. They draw from the works of Eckhart Tolle to explore the concepts of Ego (the man-made “false” self) and the Painbody (the wounds we carry of past emotional pain); and learn how to navigate them to become more mindful of and present to life itself.
Like all be. offerings, this workshop aims to create a kind, accepting, and interactive environment where they really get into it, no question is a “stupid” one, and they cheer each other on as they slowly learn to settle their minds. All they ask for is an open heart and mind, and a desire to learn. 

Noorulain Masood is the founder of be. [link: www.befullstop.com], a socially conscious business to mainstream mindful and purposeful living in fast-paced and chaotic Karachi. Noor has had a daily meditation practice for the last 9 years, attended more than 5 silent retreats, has a certification in Trauma-Informed Care for Professionals Working with Youth from the Center for Adolescent Studies, USA, and is a scholarship recipient for the two-year mindfulness teacher training with the Awareness Training Institute (Washington DC) and Greater Good Science Center (UC Berkeley). Over the last decade, Noor has held high impact positions at nationally and globally recognized development organizations. She has a deep commitment towards civic engagement and has taught with some names who have shaped the field of social leadership. Noor completed her graduate work in International Development from Harvard University, where she studied on a fully funded Fulbright scholarship. She is also an aspiring musician.
