Tell us about your school?
Well Southshore could be summarized as a place where you can achieve any goal that one could possibly possess at this crucial age of learning. This institution could be characterized as being different from other A-Level Schools around the metropolitan in the sense that we never discriminate between students coming from various School, when you’re in Southshore it really means that you are equal in all manners, form and respect as compared to any other titan as we call it.

Notable Students have emerged from this school from the day it has been established who have not only made a mark on this history of this imminent educational centre of the city but also have helped shape the course of trail in many sectors for example Music, Debating, Model United Nations, Photography, Drama or be it the field of sports.

Just recently Mashad Shehryar won the gold medal at ISEO 2012 for the best vocals amongst participants from majority of the schools of Karachi. Further Usman Khan Tareen won the recently held Redbull Freestyle competition which made him the only person from Pakistan to represent his country at an international freestyle tournament which will be held in Italy.

What will a typical day in your class look like?
A typical day in my class will look somewhat close to a mixture of a socially interacting yet disciplined set of people who share a common motive or goal which is to learn and implement what they learn in addition to maintaining that level of friendliness with a communication bridge between the students and the teacher which further enables the process of education to be enhanced. There are very less reports of indiscipline during a class surprisingly unlike other institutes and organization providing education on such scale.

What is your least favorite subject? Why?
Well quite honestly I dislike studying anything which I don’t have an interest present in but unfortunately the education system we as Pakistanis currently follow, one is forced to do that in some way or the other. So basically the award for the least favorite subject would without a shadow of a doubt go to Chemistry.

The decision revolves around the fact the chemistry is one of those rare subjects which is mostly taught in a very rough and boring manner in addition to being one of those which is hard to observe in day to day life. I hope I was able to convey my thought process on this matter.

If you could change anything about your current school, what would it be? Why?
A very hard to answer question indeed as this creates a kind of moment equivalent to that in which you are compelled to point out mistakes of your loved ones. The only thing that I would like to change would be the way sometimes achievements of the students are overlooked by the administration, further the discrimination if any present should be eradicated in all forms and manners from the eyes of the faculty that could work as a hurdle in accomplishing the goal of a more prosperous Southshore considering all factors.

Who in your life has most influenced you?
Personalities. Various or dozens of them. The most prominent being Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W), Hazrat Hussain (R.A) because of his steady stance against the oppressor, Hazrat Umar (R.A), majority of our islamic figures undoubtedly, Tipu Sultan, Saladin, Che Guevara, John. F. Kennedy, Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King, Z.A Bhutto, Iqbal, Quaid and those who gave their blood in making this great country what it is today.

Last but not the least how can I forgot all of those great people who have inspired me to work against limitations through their actions from the day I achieved consciousness including my father. My praise and gratitude goes to all of you who taught me how to lay the principles of my life which shouldn’t be derailed under any circumstances.

How do you spend your weekends?
Well it’s a very rare happening that my weekends doesn’t get pre-occupied even before they arise and when this does take place then I try to give time to myself and My family. I also tend to try to finish the unfinished tasks in order to relieve my mind of the stress that they create until they aren’t done.

If you could do so, how would you plan your academic studies differently?
I would like to rewind an year and would like to take world history instead of a science subject unlike now when I am compelled to take accelerated world history in order to pursue my education further in international relations. Although it’s not necessary for the field mentioned but without comprehending world history, one can never simply be able to understand relations between countries and grand strategic scenario of the globe.

Who are your top 5 students from your school? and why?

They have literally made most of the events that have taken place having the emblem of Southshore a possibility and a reality during the time they have been a part of this institution.

What do you do in order to keep up with latest tools and technologies while focusing on your education?
Quite honestly, I haven’t been in touch with much of that for a while now unfortunately. I hope the future might bring betterment in this matter.

What are your other interests in life?
My interest could be any goal which allows me to achieve happiness without interceding or derailing the happiness/interests of any other fellow being. I tend to have an idealogy which is to create a difference through our actions and motivating others by them to do so, defying the norms in the process as I believe that if following norms would have been good for the society then the society that we reside in could have been the most tolerant and cheerful one.

What do you envision yourself doing 10 years from now?
Struggling, working and gaining. Helping the populace of our country in some way and contributing to making a change for the good of our nation in any way possible.

The second must being selected as the Managing director of the first Youth magazine of Pakistan which will Insha’Allah be released on a national Level in the future. I will be handling the launch of it in Karachi district.
