Join The Second Floor to discover culinary heritage from the very Land of Guru Nanak and to watch Nilofur’s latest episode of “Pakistan on a Plate”, as she travels through Punjab sharing food recipes and culinary culture that still reflect the ethos of Guru Nanak. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the program’s producer, Nilofur Qazi.

Among the many sages, saints and poets that our land has produced, Guru Nanak’s name stands out for his endeavour to connect the cultural streams of Islam and Hinduism through his teachings. Born and bread from the land of the five rivers, Guru Nanak embodies the values of tolerance peace & love and is revered as a saint among Muslims and Hindus, and as a prophet among the Sikhs.

About the Speaker:
Nilofer Afridi Qazi
, has spent 14 years in the public policy/development sectors both in Pakistan and around the globe. She is an avid explorer of Pakistan’s diverse culinary culture and has traveled the length and breadth of the country to document culinary traditions and the stories that accompany them.
