PIANO – Movements and Transformations at T2F

Featuring: Kimball Gallagher & Kaiyin Huang (USA)
Guest: Usman Anees (Pakistan)

In western classical music, the word Movement is referred to a part of a musical work that is self-contained. However, the work cannot be complete unless you put a few of them together. With their entrepreneurial spirit and humanitarian heart, American pianist Kimball Gallagher (founder of 88 International) together with Taiwanese pianist Kaiyin huang (director of Kairos Arts) have initiated projects in different parts of the world. In this event, they will share their experience through both words and musical notes, to show how the movements they have created have inspired social changes and transformed the lives of many.
The musical selections include: Piano Etudes by Chopin, Prelude by Elham, Children’s Games by Bizet, Jasmin by Jaloul, Taiwan Song Transcriptions by Kaiyin Huang, Jaunpuri by Michael Harrison and beyond.
