Richard Feynman – No Ordinary Genius

Richard Feynman

Join The Second Floor (T2F) for a Science Ka Adda session as we celebrate Albert Einstein’s birthday with a screening of the documentary, Richard Feynman: No Ordinary Genius. The evening will be hosted by Zakir Thaver, co-producer of the Abdus Salam Docufilm.

Richard Feynman was the most brilliant and influential physicist of our time. Architect of quantum theories, enfant terrible of the atomic bomb project, caustic inquisitor on the space shuttle commission, ebulent bongo-player and storyteller, he played a bewildering assortment of roles in the science of the post-war era.

“When Feynman faces a problem, he’s unusually good at going back to being like a child, ignoring what everyone else thinks… He was so unstuck — if something didn’t work, he’d look at it another way.” Marvin Minsky, MIT

Five years after Richard Feynman’s death, BBC’s Horizon set out to capture the spirit and scientific legacy of the “great explainer”, in a documentary. Richard Feynman: No Ordinary Genius is an intimate, moving and funny account of the remarkable life and times of the most extraordinary scientist of his age.
