Summer Refresher Programme by DHA Education Directorate

DHA Education Directorate organizes Summer Refresher Programme (SRP) for its teaching staff to refresh and update their knowledge, teaching skills and to broaden their vision of education. In these programmes eminent educationists are invited to deliver lectures on various topics of interest.

The first series of this programme for teachers of Matric System of Education was held at the Auditorium of Defence Authority Model High School Phase-IV. Dr Saeeduddin, Chairman Board of Secondary Education Karachi delivered a thought provoking efficacious lecture on the topic ‘Declining Trends in Board Exams Karachi’. The chairman analyzed the real causes of deterioration of standard of examination and attributed the problem to declining interest and desire of students to acquire knowledge in real earnest and to general degradation of moral values in society.

He also stressed on the need of providing proper guidance to students and preparing them on correct lines so that they could get good marks in board exams. Dr Saeeduddin showed his concern over the vast syllabus of Physics and Chemistry and proposed to divide these subjects into paper-I and paper-II so that students can assimilate the subject well and get better marks.

Chairman Board of Secondary Education appreciated the efficacy of DHA’s Education System which he termed as progressive and academically vibrant aimed at providing high quality education as per the contemporary trends in vogue. Ms Uzmah Mehmood, Principal DA Model High School Phase-VII outlined the details of the Summer Refresher Programme while Director Education DHA, Brig Sardar Muhammad (Retd) said that DHA Education System aims at producing capable, knowledgeable and dynamic individuals who can contribute for the betterment of society.
