Swimming Gala Prize Distribution held at DHA Sports Club (MKA)

DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) located in DHA Phase-VIII provides exquisite sports facilities to the public ensuring growth of a vibrant youth of nation. Apart from expert professional coaching in cricket the club is an exclusive venue for other exciting sports and regularly holds challenging sports events. At the conclusion of the grand Swimming Gala held at MKA, an impressive prize distribution ceremony was held at the sports club in which Director Administration DHA Brig Muhammad Tariq Khan (Retd) was the chief guest.

Secretary DHA Sports Club Lt Col Sharafat Hussain Naqvi (R) said that during the three days Swimming Gala a large number of Academy trainees comprising young boys and girls in the age bracket 8 to 14 years participated in various groups. He said that the competition was held in different categories including free style, back stroke, butter fly, breast stroke and kick board. The Secretary remarked that the enthusiasm and competitive spirit of the participants seen during the competition was superb.

Director Administration appreciated the management of DHA Sports Club for organizing a healthy sports competition for future generation with a community driven vision. He said that swimming is an exciting sports that develops physical fitness, stamina and versatility of a human body. He added that holding of sports activities helps in development of an enlightened, tolerant and vibrant society so essential in the present times. He concluded by quoting a famous saying ‘a healthy body has a healthy mind’.

The chief guest at the end distributed 120 medals among the winners and runners up in five different categories of swimming competitions. He also paid befitting tributes to the legendary ex captain of Pakistan cricket team and CEO MKA Mr Moin Khan for his invaluable contributions/services in developing the budding cricket talent of the country and ensuring grooming and positive development of the youth of the nation.

A large number of people including participants of swimming gala, their parents and sports lovers attended the function.
