Upon Our Bony Shoulders at T2F

Upon Our Bony Shoulders features autobiographical works by three artists scattered on the creative spectrum; a Painter, a Graphic Artist and a Designer.

The diverse set of works are rooted from particular instances from their lives as individuals, ranging from introspective to peculiar and everything in between. The show as a whole comes as commentary about what it feels to live another day, how it feels to be recognised. In the particular, lies the universal.

Hanna Zarrar is a painter who primarily makes abstracts as a method of fundamentally exploring the flaws of language. With a firm belief that words are never sufficient to articulate a feeling accurately, she instead tries to say what she has to say with her vibrantly bold color field paintings.

Sana Ahmad is a final year design student whose interest lie in various forms of digital art. She has exhibited before at a host of exhibitions including Ulta Ghar and Care4Change. Alongside making artwork, she is a freelance designer doing client work.

Formerly a hugely successful commercial designer, Zima Tarique is a graphic artist who has changed everything including his identity in the quest to find the interconnecting string that ties the system of all living life together. As of 2019, the primary themes in his work are time and energy.
