Set against the backdrop of the murky world of illegal immigration, Zinda Bhaag tells the story of Khaldi, Taambi and Chitta, desperate to fast track their way out of a nondescript Lahore neighbourhood. In attempting to escape the reality of their everyday lives, they succeed in ways they least expected.
Narrated by Naseeruddin Shah, Zinda Bhaag is a visual delight that showcases the power of nuanced storytelling and proves that passionate filmmakers can deliver extraordinary results without astronomical budgets.
Since seeing the film, people have been asking all kinds of questions …
- How on earth did they manage to get Naseeruddin Shah to act in their film?
- Why did they choose non-actors for such critical roles?
- What is the history and the story behind the music?
The Second Floor (T2F) is delighted to announce an evening of revelations with the elusive trio, Mazhar, Meenu and Farjad, the filmmakers behind Pakistan’s Oscar hopeful, Zinda Bhaag. They will talk about the making of Zinda Bhaag and will also share unreleased, behind-the-scenes footage from the film.
